Praise Yahuah!

Praise Yahuah! Praise the name of Yahuah; Praise Him, you servants of Yahuah,

You who minister in the house of Yahuah, In the courts of the house of our Elohim.

Praise Yahuah, for Yahuah is good; Sing praises to His name, for it is pleasant.

For Yahuah has chosen Ya’aqov for Himself, Yisra’el as His treasured possession.

For I know that Yahuah is great, And that our Adonai is above all elohim.

Whatever Yahuah pleases, He does— In heaven and on earth, In the seas and all their depths.

He makes clouds rise from the ends of the earth; He sends lightning with the rain And brings out the wind from His storehouses.

He struck down the firstborn of Mitzrayim, Both people and animals.

He sent signs and wonders into your midst, O Mitzrayim, Against Pharaoh and all his servants.

He struck down many nations And killed mighty kings—

Sihon king of the Emori, Og king of Bashan, And all the kingdoms of Kena’an—

And gave their land as an inheritance, An inheritance to His people Yisra’el.

Your name, O Yahuah, endures forever, Your renown, O Yahuah, through all generations.

For Yahuah will vindicate His people And have compassion on His servants.

The idols of the nations are silver and gold, Made by human hands.

They have mouths, but cannot speak; Eyes, but cannot see;

They have ears, but cannot hear; Nor is there breath in their mouths.

Those who make them will be like them, And so will all who trust in them.

O house of Yisra’el, bless Yahuah! O house of Aharon, bless Yahuah!

O house of Levi, bless Yahuah! You who fear Yahuah, bless Yahuah!

Blessed be Yahuah from Tzion, He who dwells in Yerushalayim. Praise Yahuah!

Deuteronomy 4:1-20

Now, O Yisra’el, listen to the statutes and the judgments which I am teaching you to perform, so that you may live and enter and take possession of the land which Yahuah, the Elohim of your fathers, is giving you. You shall not add to the word which I command you nor take away from it, that you may keep the commandments of Yahuah your Elohim which I command you. Your eyes have seen what Yahuah did at Baal Pe’or; for Yahuah your Elohim destroyed from among you every man who followed Baal Pe’or. But you who held fast to Yahuah your Elohim are alive every one of you today. See, I have taught you statutes and judgments just as Yahuah my Elohim commanded me, that you should perform them in the land where you are entering to take possession of it. So keep and perform them, for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the peoples who will hear all these statutes and say, ‘Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.’ For what great nation is there that has an Elohim so near to it as Yahuah our Elohim is to us whenever we call on Him? Or what great nation is there that has statutes and judgments as righteous as this whole Torah which I am setting before you today?

“Only be careful for yourself and keep your soul diligently, so that you do not forget the things which your eyes have seen and so that they do not depart from your heart all the days of your life; but make them known to your sons and your grandsons, the day that you stood before Yahuah your Elohim at Chorev, when Yahuah said to me, ‘Assemble the people to Me, that I may let them hear My words so that they may learn to fear Me all the days they live on the earth, and that they may teach their sons.’ And you came near and stood at the foot of the mountain, and the mountain was burning with fire to the heart of heaven, with darkness, cloud, and thick gloom. Then Yahuah spoke to you from the midst of the fire; you heard the sound of words, but you saw no form—only a voice. So He declared to you His covenant which He commanded you to perform, the Ten Commandments; and He wrote them on two tablets of stone. And Yahuah commanded me at that time to teach you statutes and judgments, so that you might perform them in the land where you are going over to possess it.

“So watch yourselves very carefully—since you saw no form on the day Yahuah spoke to you at Chorev from the midst of the fire—lest you act corruptly and make for yourselves a carved image in the form of any figure: the likeness of male or female, the likeness of any animal that is on the earth, the likeness of any winged bird that flies in the air, the likeness of anything that creeps on the ground, the likeness of any fish that is in the water below the earth. And lest you lift up your eyes to heaven, and when you see the sun, the moon, and the stars, all the host of heaven, you be drawn away and worship them and serve them, things which Yahuah your Elohim has allotted to all the peoples under the whole heaven. But Yahuah has taken you and brought you out of the iron furnace, out of Mitzrayim, to be a people of his inheritance, as you are this day.”
